Struggling with her trauma and guilt over her actions, she feels distant from her lover, Tamlin, who is overprotective and controlling as they try to rebuild their lives in the Spring Court. When Feyre is offered an escape from Tamlin’s suffocating control, she begins to heal, discover her inner strength, and uncover hidden powers within herself. Along the way, Feyre learns the true dangers looming over the world and must confront painful truths about love, loyalty, and sacrifice. This book is challenged in many school systems for its themes of violence and sexual and emotional abuse.
